We are certainly playing the long game here at Casey. Operations are again on hold. Strong winds have seen us skulk out of the bay, although not far, the anchor dropped with a view of station. The ship's crew have been out in the biting Antarctic weather, stowing all the barges and pontoons below the hatches, in anticipation of stronger winds forecast for the coming days. If nothing else, this wind should see an end of the problematic ice conditions we've been battling in Newcombe Bay. For now, it's back to watching, waiting and weathering the storm.
REGARDS: Anthea and Misty.
