Comments

Last night was quite sporting, with the ship rolling more than 25 degrees for most of the night. This morning brought ever so slightly calmer conditions, with "only" 20-degree rolls. In these conditions, simple day-to-day activities become quite entertaining. We congratulate ourselves on being able to consume soup for lunch without spilling a drop despite plates and cutlery sliding across the table and people clutching for the table before they and their chair slide across the mess. Perhaps more remarkable are Ian and Eddie in the kitchen who continue to prepare restaurant quality food in trying conditions.
Tonight, we cross the 60th parallel. For 24 of the 29 on board, this will be their first time to sail into Antarctic waters. The water has certainly become cooler and we hope that it also becomes somewhat calmer.

REGARDS: Anthea and Misty.
