Comments

We have well and truly entered Antarctic waters. Cool temperatures and subzero seas, icebergs are now a regular sight, and those with a keen eye and a bit of patience have caught glimpses of passing humpback whales. Eddi (Junior), 2nd cook, also known as the Secret Weapon, is one of the two powerhouses of the galley that day after day continue to conjure up amazing meals (yes, we talk about food a bit). Hailing from Manila, visiting Antarctica is exciting for him as it's the only continent he has not yet visited. While he is missing his wife and four children, he gets great satisfaction from the very appreciative crew aboard. Along with the Chief Cook, Ian, he is busy preparing for tomorrows Christmas lunch, which will be enjoyed a little ahead of time, as we "plan" to be comfortably anchored in Newcombe Bay by Christmas Eve.

REGARDS: Anthea and Misty
