The ocean has been bit rough up until a couple hours ago when the ship changed direction to keep us away from a low pressure system heading our way. This has made travelling more comfortable but some of us still not feeling 100%. It is reasonably quiet on board with people writing reports, sleeping, reading or watching movies and drinking lots of tea.
Yesterday prior to leaving Macquarie Island the outgoing Station Leader and Deputy Station Leader handed out the Winter Medallion to each member of her team. This was done on the bow of the ship and was the ideal place as Macca was the backdrop. Only fitting that Macca featured in the photos.
We are all looking forward to getting to Hobart on Sunday 14 March 2021, with the vessel berthing at 1500hrs.
