Comments

After the events of yesterday today has been relatively quiet on board, with many taking time to rest and recuperate. Contingency planning meetings with groups both on the ship and with personnel back at Kingston are underway ensuring that needs of expeditioners on the ship are heard and met. Outside the seas continue to roll the ship around as expeditioners and crew further secure items in cabins and on the decks.

The Ship's Master has changed the heading of the ship from an easterly direction to one that is more northerly to avoid an unfavourable weather pattern. While we will still experience an increase in the swell, this new heading will be a gentler option for all on board.

Tomorrow we continue on our northward journey in seas of a similar state to that experienced today. All on board the Everest would like to thank those back at Head Office for their support over the last 24 hours. We would also like to acknowledge the efforts of all on board who have assisted in some form over the last 24 hours; whether it be assisting the Everest crew on deck, securing expeditioner cabins or just checking in with each other.

Regards: Andy, Jenn and Lauren
