Today all on board have been welcomed by a gentle introduction to the Southern Ocean after a busy couple of days that led up to our departure from Hobart on the evening of the 10th of February. This morning an emergency muster drill was completed with all 74 AAp expeditioners and 38 MPV Everest crew mustering in the Forecastle Muster Areas. Apart from this it has been relatively quiet today allowing expeditioners to settle in and find their way around their home for the next few weeks, the MPV Everest.
Tomorrow's plan includes the deployment of the first of the Argo floats and expeditioners are eagerly awaiting for the next tours of the Saturation Diving and ROV areas.
From all on board thank you to all at the AAD, in particular the Shipping Team, for the support and assistance given during the port call in the lead up to our departure south.
REGARDS: Andy, Jenn and Lauren
