Comments

A quiet ship today after a night of pitching and rolling on a moderate but messy ocean.

Thoughts have very much turned to the next task at hand, that of the Macquarie Island passenger & cargo transfer. All things going to plan, we anticipate reaching Macquarie Island tomorrow evening and commencing watercraft operations the following morning (Thursday) – weather permitting.

A number of planning sessions have been conducted today with more briefings scheduled for tomorrow and the XBT project continues to tick along with thanks to the very capable Jeff and his team of WCO volunteers.

Otherwise – a very quiet news day on board the good ship Aurora Australis

Regards,

James & Leanne
