Comments

A very different 24 hours onboard for us today. Overnight the wind came up as forecast and moved the ship about a bit as we did our usual laps up and down the east coast of the island. With gale force conditions forecast we had already called off operations for today, giving the station a day to catch their breath after a busy week of cargo movement and before our possible ship to shore fuel transfer commences tomorrow. We spent the entire day in the lee of the island to get the most comfortable conditions out here but were still occasionally reminded that we were on a ship with the wind howling outside, the ocean covered in white and the occasional hail storm. The hardiest of birds were still out and about for us to watch from the warm confines of the bridge. Today was a good opportunity to catch up on paperwork and ensure that all of our preparations for refueling are in place. We're looking forward to a big improvement in weather with fingers crossed for the swell to drop and let us commence refueling early tomorrow morning. An early night for all those rostered to be on the bridge for the 5:15 start.

REGARDS: Nicki and Chris
