With some slick juggling and a bit of luck we were able to finish cargo operations by smoko and remove the ship from the harbour just before lunch. Straight after lunch we transferred the last 20 or so passengers to the ship. There may have been an incident involving a Station Leader, an IRB and a guide dog, but no animals, adults or children were hurt during the exchange!
We then sailed a mile or so north to reposition the ship within 2nm of Welch Island. This enabled the two bird biologists to zip out to the island in two IRB's, while our refuel team packed up the refuel equipment from West Arm on to the barge.
The barge and it's support IRB then came out and joined us when they were done and the barge was lifted aboard.
The flotilla of three IRBs and the Aurora then returned to the station to complete the final flurry of passenger transfers.
We are now on our way to Davis.
