We completed the fuel transfer with every tank and the 6 additional ISO containers filled at 1100 last night. It took another 25 minutes to pig the hose (the pig is a foam block that is pushed through the hose line with compressed air to clear the line of fuel). The total fuel pumped was 741,600 litres. This is quite a lot for Mawson and sets the station up well for next season.

Today we finally brought the rock crusher aboard. It was deemed a little bit too high and heavy for the Bill Budd, the smaller barge we are using this visit. The station team took up the challenge (it's now been 3 years that we've been trying to get the crusher home), and whilst the fuel flowed they broke it down into easily manageable sections.

We continue with the last of cargo this afternoon and the bird biologists are about to depart for Rookery Islands.
