Comments

We came into Kista Strait and sat on LIPS (the ships pre Digital Positioning System) until the 10 minute average winds dropped below 25 knots and we were able to launch an IRB (Inflatable Rubber Boat). The IRB was then used to transfer the barge crew to the barge which was also lowered over the side and secured alongside.

Then it was cargo time!

We are now into the No. 2 Lowers, the No.1 Lowers filled with RTA (Return To Australia) cargo and the pontoons firmly in for the last time.

The Deputy Voyage Leader is currently onboard the barge seeing first hand how the operation works from the water line rather than 5 meters above.
