Comments

We are now heading to the entrance to Iceberg Alley, which is currently still ice filled. We will look at ice breaking options on our arrival tomorrow.

All the expeditioners have completed the refuelling briefing and been given copies of the Refuel SOP (Standard Operating Procedures). Refuelling is one of the more complex activities during a resupply and involves pumping thousands of litres an hour over the water in a hose. It requires a crew on the ship, on boats between the ship and shore and on the shore as well to monitor it. We plan to deliver about 800,000 litres over two or three one day periods.

Cheers
