Today saw the sun break through, the wind and seas drop off at the beginning of the day, allowing the commencement of a full day of operations. All round trip project expeditioners were sent ashore by helicopter by 0900. Cargo operations commenced by LARC, with a staggered stream of cargo being sent to shore as the day progressed. The small inflatable rubber boats (IRBs) were launched for the first time today, and they have been supporting round trip projects and returning expeditioners to the ship at the end of the day.
