Comments
At around lunchtime today, we sighted Macquarie Island, which was a welcome sight for both new and returning expeditioners. We were lucky enough last night to have following seas and winds, that made the transit during the night more comfortable than expected. We are currently doing laps up and down the eastern side of the island in the lee, as we wait for the waves and winds to back off, so we can commence operations. This may take a day or so. Briefings today focused on commencing operations, reviewing job safety analysis documents and learning how to use VHF radios.
