Today we continued the briefings, cleaning of expeditioners boots and gear in preparation for our arrival at Macquarie Island. Our estimated time of arrival is around 1200 Friday, the 8th of March. The weather upon arrival is not looking favourable for any operations at this stage and we will seek shelter on the eastern side of the island, to wait for weather conditions to improve to commence operations. We are expecting an increase is wave height overnight with expeditioners making their cabins ready for a bumpy night. Everyone is looking forward to their first glimpse of Macquarie Island.
