Yesterday afternoon we kept one eye on the weather, another on the clock and another on the... we're out of eyes.
The abating wind at Davis and improved visibility at the West Ice Shelf was our que to turn the ship around and head back to Davis. With a following sea and wind the passage back to Davis was far more comfortable and a lot quicker than our passage to the Ice Shelf.
We arrive at Davis 0800 and dropped anchor. Cargo operations went into full swing and preparations were under way to get all the pax and helicopters aboard before the days end.
"When do we leave?" is the question on everyone's lips.
"When we are finished!" the Master replies.
Cheers
