Comments

On a calm sea, the Aurora continues to make good progress North East as those expeditioners aboard familiarise themselves with the movement of the ship now on the open ocean.

Evening presentations are scheduled on topics ranging from European cycle tours to air sampling in Antarctica.

We will likely cross the 60th sometime during the evening.

And now, an insight from our ship's Doctor, Catz who is returning with us from Casey where she overwintered as the station doctor.

'Over the past few days, despite less forward movement than desired, spirits on the ship have remained high, facilitated by good health and all-time low seasickness levels. As we move more quickly..I fear that we are soon going to be leaving the eye of the vomit storm.
The medical facility remains ready if needed, with everything tied down in anticipation for the possibility of stormy seas ahead. With everything always trickier to manage on a boat in the middle of the Southern Ocean, we hope for smooth sailing and for everyone on board to remain safe and well.'

Regards,

Voyage Management.
