All good things must come to an end and sadly our time at Davis is nigh. Yesterday at 11:55am, we loaded the last cargo. The afternoon was spent on various activities including random acts of tidying up, visits ashore or just snoozing.

We dispatched the final outgoing personnel to Davis this morning and are currently awaiting outgoing winterers to board early this afternoon. We will be doing a very careful head count (twice!) to make sure that we have the right number of passengers on board then we will pull up the gang plank and prepare to put to sea again. The first job is to turn the ship around. We have previously described this as a 50 point U-Turn to get back into our entry groove after which it should be smooth sailing... for a while. It does look like we are not taking the Riviera weather with us and the week ahead could be interesting.

On the positive side, we're going fishing.

Good luck to the new Davis crew for the summer ahead.
