Comments

Our progress over night has been so good that it was almost a relief when we finally encountered some significant ice just before midnight. Expeditioners appeared from all directions to gape as the ship started to rumble and shake upon encountering concentrated pack ice that was actually pretty tame by normal standards. We continued to make good progress over night but have come to rest this morning. We are considering launching a camera drone to provide some local guidance as to the best way to go.

Resupply briefings are happening today. We have covered more than 3000 miles since Hobart now.
