Comments

Successfully completed seven RMT shots today, the RMT will be utilised later in the season to capture Antarctic krill. We also trialled in-house mooring location software which proved to be very successful and will assist to locate moorings in the Southern Ocean, especially in bad weather. Everyone is commenting on the success of another in-house developed piece of software - data in real time (DIRT). This allows expeditioners from the comfort of their cabin or anywhere on the ship with wifi with smart devices and mobiles to look at live data including deployment information, gone are the days of over crowded rooms with people jockeying for pole position to receive updates. We head back to Hobart tomorrow after another very successful day, on the way we plan to test the trawling equipment. As per usual the catering has been outstanding!

Phil & Andrew
