After a fantastic day of cargo operations yesterday we have kicked straight back into the swing of things this morning. First load onto the ship was the LARC that has been based at Macquarie Island for the winter. This LARC will come with us back to Hobart, where it will undergo servicing before being cycled back down for resupply in future years.

Today also saw the last of the winter team joining us on the Aurora Australis, with station handover now complete. In addition, the few round trip expeditioners who hadn't been ashore managed a day trip today with Macquarie Island turning on the weather.

Ensuring cargo operations continue to run smoothly this afternoon we are looking on track for a departure late this evening.

Cheers

Andy, Justin and Aron
