Weather conditions have held out just enough to continue cargo operations most of yesterday afternoon and again this morning. Progress continues on clearing cargo out of the 'tween' deck of the Aurora Australis, with RTA cargo now being back loaded into both the tween and helideck as we go. This morning also saw the -18 food successfully transferred to station, allowing us to back fill the refrigerated container with -18 science samples. These samples are a variety of items collected throughout the season, as well as from round trip projects that have been operating throughout the resupply.
Aboard the Aurora Australis, expeditioners continue the usual program of reading, eating and keeping amused. This has included evening screenings of various movies, supplemented by episodes of Australian comedy 'All Aussie Adventures'. Our particularly keen expeditioners also make use of the ships gym, a desperate attempt to not succumb to the copious amounts of amazing food aboard the Aurora.
Meanwhile, with weather conditions looking marginal again this afternoon we continue to keep our fingers crossed for suitable weather windows as we make steady progress on Macquarie Station's resupply efforts.
Cheers
Andy, Justin and Aron
