Comments

Welcome aboard Voyage 2 (V2) of the Australian Antarctic Programme's 2017/18 season.

We have enjoyed a calm day's sailing since departing Hobart yesterday morning. Our relatively small contingent of expeditioners (26) have spent the last 24 hours settling into their cabins, familiarising themselves with the Aurora, enjoying the excellent meals available onboard and preparing for stronger winds and rougher seas forecast overnight. Those involved in ship-based science projects have been busy with briefings, and preparing equipment. Some have already commenced data collection.

With kind regards,

James and Dave
