Comments

Another cracking day down here. We made good progress overnight through the seaice, but hit an icy "speed bump" this morning that had us stuck for the best part of 2 hours. We extricated ourselves eventually, and have now made it to the large stretch of open water north of Davis, which should persist for the rest of our run in to the Fast-ice edge. Plenty of morning meetings and briefings today, with our plan to commence breaking in to the fast ice around midnight tonight, followed by a morning fly-off using our helicopters, to get people ashore in readiness for resupply/cargo commencement when we are in our "parking spot" in the ice.
Regards, Doug & Andrew
