We had a very easy and comfy first night at sea with a gentle roll and following breeze. Lots of briefings and safety meetings are underway for watercraft, helicopter, field and ship cargo operations as we prepare for the busy time ahead at Macca. Our objectives are to deliver cargo and fuel to the island, changeover the winter teams, resupply the island huts, retrieve cargo for return to Australia and complete work for 17 different science and operational projects. So there's lots to talk about on the ship and with those on station who will be delivering much of the program. We continue to race the approaching weather and hope to be in the lee of Macca in the very early hours of Friday.
