Comments

King Neptune and his Queen made an appearance for all who had not sailed upon his seas before. In recent years more expeditioners travel to Antarctica by aircraft so do not have the joy of meeting the King. This was remedied for several who had done a number of winters and/or summers but had never travelled by ship.

The Aurora Australis crew have been involved with Camp Quality for a very long time and have raised considerable funds over the years. We have some very generous people on board who put their hands in their pockets to help Camp Quality put a smile on the faces of kids with cancer. The fund raising auction last night raised $11,500 dollars. There were 40 lots with the cheapest item $60 and the most expensive $1,100 (two items went for this). Earlier in the day the Inaugural AA Film Society presented a wonderful film called 'Once". Everyone enjoyed the movie and Camp Quality will receive a further $330.

Cheers
