We advanced our clocks by one more hour last night so we are now two hours behind Hobart (UTC+9). When I say we this does not include the Voyage Leader who forgot to do this and appeared on the bridge an hour late for the morning bridge meeting between Voyage Management and senior crew members. Thankfully I have great support from my Voyage Management team who managed quite well without me. Yes, they are having a good laugh at my expense – and rightly so. It is my 13th voyage and the only morning meeting I have unintentionally missed that I can remember so I think I am doing ok.
This morning we had an emergency muster drill on the helideck. We still put warm clothes on but not quite as many as musters drills held earlier in the voyage. We always take our survival bags so if we need to put more layers on they are available. Wherever we go in Antarctica we take our survival bags with us.
Cheers
