We were lucky enough to see not one but two jade bergs yesterday and if you were in the correct position you could get both in the same photo.
We arrived back at Davis this morning with the anchor dropped at 9.30am and we had commenced boat operations by 9.45 am and helicopter operations at 10am. The helicopter operations were completed in two hours with all of the cargo on board. At the same time that the helicopter was delivering cargo a RIB (rigid inflatable boat) was delivering the outgoing Davis expeditioners to the ship. All expeditioners were on board by lunch time and we only have two helicopters to load and a RIB. Once we have the helicopters on deck then stowed in the heli hangar we can load the RIB to the ship. We then have some cargo shuffle then secure it to the deck and head home.
Thank you to all at Davis for another smooth operation today.
Cheers
Leanne, Simon and Amy
