We have arrived at Davis and are currently anchored 2km from the station. We were in a hook up with the station when their attention faulted for a slight moment when they realised they could see us in the distance. I have also had another phone call from station saying we look pretty good in the bay.
We travelled through Framme Bank yesterday afternoon with some amazing icebergs, including jade bergs and bergs with large holes in them. I wish I could attach some photos to the sitrep as any explanation I give will not come close to how awesome the view was. There are some times in life where words are not enough.
Yesterday and today there have been a number of meetings and briefing to finalise plans for the commencement of operations tomorrow. We are looking forward to catching up with our friends from Davis as they start to move to the ship tomorrow ready for our trek home.
Cheers
Leanne, Simon and Amy
