Comments

We have now been away a month and have only two weeks to go.

Perfect conditions so far with 6 of 11 CTD's complete. Each one becomes quicker as the depth decreases as we approach the continental shelf and the Antarctic coast.

We are currently doing an ice station for the trace metals team, who have deployed by boat to a nearby ice floe upwind of the ship, whilst the CTD is being deployed at the same time, making for a very efficient operation.

The weather is perfect with a light 7-10 knot breeze and clear skies all around (check out the ships webcam at: www.aad.gov.au).

Cheers

Andy and Mike
