Yesterday afternoon, we re-entered the roaring forties and passed to the east of Fremantle putting us less than 900 miles from the coast of Australia. The water temperature is up to a balmy +8.5 degrees and this morning it is both calm and foggy.
Last night saw the second presentation from the Jane Austen Appreciation society with a screening of Northanger Abbey; one of her lesser known works. This is a particularly notable adaptation because there are not one but two dancing sequences within the first 30 minutes. Afterwards, some of the guys hung back to watch a documentary on the Apollo moon landings in order to restore some sense of equilibrium.
