Yesterday we commenced back loading of RTA cargo and this morning we are putting the finishing touches on the lower holds. The weather has been relentlessly glorious as long as you are not spending 10 hours a day outside working cargo in a cool breeze. Because we have made such good progress, we have moved to a shorter working day for the rest of the operation in order to give people some breathing space.
At the moment the sun is only below the horizon for about 3 hours a day and after the 24 November it will remain above the horizon for the following seven weeks. This can be disruptive to sleep patterns. It must be said that the penguins seem unfazed by any of this as they sun bake by the swimming pool that we've created for them behind the ship.
