Today, we woke to find ourselves in 30 knot winds with the ship pitching over a range of 9 degrees during breakfast time as we pushed forward on a south-westerly course. It's a useful reminder that the Southern Ocean is not done with us just yet. Fortunately conditions have eased towards lunchtime.
Last evening, a quiz night was held in which Quiz Master Bryce, aided by his lovely assistants Rhys and Robert, explored the intelligence and honesty of all in attendance. The winning team managed to get across the line aided by a disturbingly sound knowledge of the works of E. L. James. (You have to admire their "whatever it takes" attitude) A total of $631.35 was raised for Camp Quality including the iceberg sweep winnings which were generously donated back by Jane.
An Emergency muster drill was held this morning but, due to the adverse weather conditions, it was held inside the Restaurant and not on the helideck. Nonetheless the dress code was warm while colour combinations of yellow and black with a splash of orange around the neck were de rigueur. Some carry it off better than others.
