Comments

We are still pushing into a head wind of up to 30 knots which is slowing our progress down to 7 knots at times. We are now into the furious fifties and they seem to be more “slightly annoyed” rather than furious for which we are truly grateful.

Overnight we towed the Continuous Plankton Recorder and we hope to get a nearly 450nm run out of it by late this evening.

Further meetings and safety briefings were held today in preparation for the marine science program and clocks will go back one hour tonight as we gradually transition to Mawson time.

Last night, as a way of remembering better times, there was a gathering together in the theatre to view some videos featuring helicopter pilot David Wood.
