Yesterday afternoon the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) was successfully used to assist the ship's Master navigating the vessel through the ice.
We arrived in the early hours of this morning and dropped anchor off Casey Station at 7am.
The Casey Station Leader and his management team were welcomed on board to brief the new arrivals and discuss resupply operations with voyage management and the ship's crew (and taste fresh mangoes and bananas for the first time in 6 months).
Deck crew and watercraft operators have begun preparations for resupply to commence. Plans are being made for excited expeditioners to make their first trip ashore.
Cheers,
Andy, Vic and Eloise
