We have just crossed 60 degrees South, thus entering the Antarctic Treaty Area. The first iceberg was seen by some, but not many, passing the beam of the ship at 1.52 am last night.
Yesterday the ships crew and our medical team undertook a confined spaces drill, which included extracting a casualty via stretcher.
Further Argo deployments have been completed. The Continuous Plankton Recorder (CPR) was replenished and redeployed at 8pm last night.
Briefings have continued today on watercraft operations, heavy lifts, use of the barge and bunker door operations.
Everyone is actively engaging in ship life.
Cheers,
Andy, Vic and Eloise
