Comments

Day 2 and it has been a hard day moving around the ship with very large swells and 35 knot winds. The Southern Ocean is a powerful beast. Many well stowed items have ended up on the floor. The last of the briefings and meetings were conducted today in preparation for our arrival at Macquarie Island tomorrow morning. All were briefed on the Operational Plan and the Passenger Disembarkation Plan to ensure that all know what they need to do and where they need to be and when.

We have a weather window tomorrow morning to transport our Macquarie Island expeditoners to their new home via helicopter. As we are scheduled to drop anchor in Buckles Bay at 5am it will be a very early start for all.

Cheers Leanne and Mick
