We are well into resupply planning with our arrival at Davis not too far away. We are expecting to enter the ice on Saturday. Field training is finishing up tomorrow morning with helicopter safety briefings for all passengers. We move into the next phase of the voyage tomorrow afternoon when we commence a series of briefings and meetings relating to resupply, our arrival, travelling on sea ice, refuelling, cargo operations, meteorology and environmental. The second part of the environmental process is to vaccum and clean our boots, clothing, backpacks etc to ensure that we do not take any seeds etc to shore. The closer to our arrival at Davis the more detailed the plans become as the finer points are finalised.

The iceberg sweep was won today with the first visible berg declared at 0653 by the Officer of the Watch. Congratulations Dan.

Cheers Leanne and Mick
