The outside temperature has dropped dramatically: yesterday it was balmy 9.6 degrees and it is currently 1.1.
Our two Field Training Officers on board commenced field training for the winter and summer expeditioners. There is not the requirement for round tripping expeditioners to undertake the training unless there is a specific need but none the less were invited to join the sessions.
Today’s was on Sea Ice Travel Training – this teaches our expeditioners how keep themselves, others and their equipment safe and if they get into trouble how to get out of it.
We turn our clocks back another hour tonight. We will then be 2 hours behind Hobart time and 2 hours ahead of Davis time.
Cheers Leanne and Mick
