There’s been no respite from our uncomfortable trip home today with fifty knot winds and six metre swells. Doing anything onboard, including standing upright, was very difficult so many retreated to their bunks. Sadly our biopsy platforms and ice light took a hammering when the bow buried into one wave but luckily no gear was lost over the side.
We can still hear the blue whales back in Antarctica but we will lose them soon.
Otherwise those up to it are busy readying the ship for port and writing reports.
