        Comments
As we continued through the heavier pack ice into lighter stuff the crew began the task of de-icing the decks, boats and equipment.
They've done an amazing job standing in -15C buried in a cloud of moist steam that warms and loosens the ice but soaks the crew, and then freezes solid. At the same time other crew have been chipping and shovelling the tons of accumulated frozen sea spray out of the way and over the side.
We are close to Davis now and hope to be near the anchorage at around 1300 today.
Cheers,
Andy and Simon
