The mooring operation went like a dream and took around four hours to complete. We then cracked into cargo getting the priority cargo, mail, and some fruit and veg ashore for the winterers who have been without fresh produce for almost a year now.
This morning the winds dropped below maximum operating parameters by 10am and we got back into the swing of things with more cargo and passengers ashore.
Congratulations to the watercraft and shore based mooring teams for assisting the crew in safely tying the ship in place and to the crew and AAD teams for the safe and efficient cargo movements so far. Well done to all (even Lewi who keeps stealing the VL's lollies!).
Cheers,
Andy and Simon
