Comments

We continue on schedule for our arrival in Hobart at 1600hrs tomorrow.

Last night we had a fundraising event and raised $800 for Camp Quality, a great effort by everyone.

This is the penultimate sitrep for V2 and a good time to reflect on what has been achieved on this voyage. We will have sailed nearly 6800 nautical miles on this voyage of which 3500 nautical miles was attributable to marine science. We delivered some 550 tonnes of cargo and we supplied 900,000 litres of fuel to Casey. We have also returned a significant amount of waste materials from Casey.

In terms of marine science the output has been more than impressive with 141 CTD casts, 10 Argo Float deployments and a total of 10 out of 11 moorings being successfully retrieved. We also deployed a whale acoustic mooring on our way into Casey. All this has been completed in a safe efficient and incident free manner. Thanks to all voyage support personnel, scientists, expeditioners and Aurora Australis Crew who made all this happen. Until we sail again..............

Cheers

Tony & Lloyd
