Comments

At the risk of jinxing the whole operation: “Pack ice? What pack ice?” We are presently hurtling along at great speed in very open ice conditions. We had an excellent overnight run, with only a few sticking points here and there. Our latest ice image suggests we have an area of much higher ice concentration ahead of us, which will no doubt test us, but at this stage we couldn’t be happier with our progress. Onboard pre-arrival briefings continue, this morning covering refuelling operations at Davis.

All the best, Doug and Dave
