Another benign day as far as ocean conditions go. Great news for us, as it means the landlubbers amongst us have had a great run as far as getting our sea legs operational goes. Clocks retarded last night to UTC +10, as we creep further west. We have also altered course further to the south, attempting to avoid some potentially nasty forecast weather and swell (6-8 metres…). Activities slowly coming up to speed include nightly talks by expeditioners and exercise classes. A meeting of all the Davis personnel is scheduled for this afternoon, marking the first time the entire ingoing summering group has had a chance to have a collective chat.
All the best, Doug and Dave
