Comments

The weather remained poor yesterday and precluded any flying operations from occurring. Late afternoon and evening though it started to clear rather quickly and by late in the evening it had cleared up that well the Aurora watchers were able to spend a considerable amount of time out in the cold enjoying the light show. There were Aurora’s still visible at 0645hrs this morning.

Today conditions are fine for flying and we have been at it since just after 9am this morning. We are now discharging the Priority 2 and Priority 3 Mawson cargo and will also be back loading the Mawson Priority 3 RTA cargo. Hopefully we’ll have another big day of flying and be able to provide some impressive stats in tomorrow’s Sitrep for you.

Congratulations to the Team on Voyage 5 and at Macquarie Island for a great job in completing their resupply. For those on the ship we hope the seas have eased off and you have a safe passage back to Hobart and for the team on Macquarie Island, enjoy your winter and stay safe.

Cheers,

Deepy and Brett
