Happy St Patricks Day to you from all onboard the AA.

Today we are all enjoying the fact that we've been able to find some light winds and calm seas, a rare occurrence on this voyage to date. We crossed the 60 degree south mark overnight and today we have our first negative air temperatures, letting us all know we are definitely in Antarctic waters.

The Mawson team continued their ERT training yesterday afternoon but I'm not sure if the lack of a report on yesterday's progress is a good thing or a bad thing though. Hopefully we'll have an update for you tomorrow on that one. The operations planning meetings continue onboard and via phone hook up with Mawson station, all is proceeding well on that front. The final briefing program has been issued to all passengers so by the time we arrive in our operating location, all will be well prepared and informed on what is about to occur.

And in today's good news story we should say a big thank you to Ben, the winner of the iceberg sweep. Not only has he donated all the winnings to Camp Quality, he threw in sizable donation himself as well. Well done mate!

To be sure!

Deepy and Brett
