The movie marathon, dog walking and invertebrate water changing continued onboard today as we travel northward. The excitement is now building as we are only a day away from Hobart and can now talk about our arrival in terms of hours rather than days. The seas are now being more kind, and we are now just rolling slowly from side to side. There are a lot more people up and around the ship now, with meals more heavily patronised. This morning's amusement was the shift from daylight savings. Those with wristwatches stayed on daylight savings and those using iPhones or iPads as their timepiece moved to AEST without actually realising. It was quite amusing to watch the effect of a ship's complement running on two different time zones - except that both Sharon and I missed lunch as the ship's clocks had not changed overnight.
We're all looking forward to seeing our family and friends when we come alongside Macquarie Wharf at 18:00 tomorrow night.
Cheers, Nicki & Sharon
