Most expeditioners have now settled into a comfortable routine, venturing out of their cabins to enjoy excellent meals and to take advantage of the facilities on board. The library and gym have both become popular, whilst the recreation room has hosted a number of educational lectures and Hollywood features.
Some of the expeditioners are applying themselves in support of the scientific projects on board, with air and water sampling continuing, whilst many others have been assisting the ship's crew in general duties, particularly in the galley.
This morning a muster was conducted on the heli-deck. Expeditioners coped well with rising swells to undertake emergency drills in full survival gear as per their roles assigned in the incident management plan.
This afternoon the voyage management team will meet to further develop the concept of operations (CON-OPS) plan for the resupply of Casey station which will inform the more detailed planning sessions scheduled in the coming days as we proceed to Casey.
Cheers
