Comments

We continue on schedule for our arrival in Hobart at 0900hrs tomorrow.
This is the penultimate sitrep for V1 and a good time to reflect on what has been achieved on this voyage. This voyage will no doubt be remembered for the time spent in transiting the pack ice on both the southbound and northbound legs however much has been achieved in spite of this. In terms of people we have delivered 81 expeditioners to stations and we will return 16 expeditioners home. We delivered some 580 tonnes of cargo and we delivered 600,000 litres of fuel, to Davis. We have returned to Australia a significant amount of waste materials from Davis. 6 round trip projects were completed 3 at sea and 3 on station. All was completed without injury or incident. Thanks to all voyage support personnel, round trip project owners, expeditioners and Aurora Australis Crew who made all this happen. Until we sail again..............

Cheers Tony and Mike
